Understanding the Early Years: Northeast Saskatchewan
A Community Research Report highlights information from the parent interviews and direct assessments of kindergarten children collected during the 2006-2007 school year. The total set of UEY information includes perspectives from parents, teachers, children, and information about community programs and services and socioeconomic data. This Community Research Report complements the Community Mapping Report of Children in Northeast Saskatchewan released in August 2008 and available on the Early Years Partnership website http://earlyyears.nesd.ca

2010 - The Year of the Métis
The Northeast Housing Research Project Final Report was prepared by Tyler Rendek who was commissioned by the Northeast Regional Intersectoral Committee to study the housing strengths and gaps in the communities of Melfort, Nipawin and Tisdale and in particular the issues faced by vulnerable groups. Information was collected January - April 2010 through a literature review, surveys, interviews and focus groups..

The North East Community Literacy Network received funding from SaskSmart Innovations funds October 1, 2009 - March 31, 2010.To support the network's project targeting workplace literacy as well as family literacy in First Nations and Immigrant communities. This project was successful in achieving important literacy goals in the region. Goals, partnerships and actvities are described in the report available here.

The Northeast RIC Complex Needs Strategy is a guide for human service providers in supporting persons with complex needs. Those cases that are rare and do not fit within any existing initiative or service mandate are considered complex needs cases.
